Amish Rolls
Ingredients:
- 4 1/2 cups Turkey Brand Bread Flour (#2285)
- 3/4 cup lukewarm water
- 2 1/2 tsp Instant Yeast (#2446)
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 6 Tbsp softened Kirkland Butter (#1723)
- 2 tsp Regal Sea Salt (#1146)
- 1/3 cup C & H Pure Granulated Sugar (#1632)
- 2 eggs
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Then, knead until the dough is soft.
- Next, lightly grease a bowl and place the dough in it. Cover with plastic wrap (#) and place in a warm spot to rise, about 90 minutes. The dough should double in size.
- Punch the dough down and place it onto a floured surface. Then, divide it into 24 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a round rol, then place into your 9 x 13 pan (#). Let raise again for 1 1/2-2 hours until puffy.
- Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350F.
- After allowing the rolls to rise again, remove the plastic wrap. Using a basting brush, lightly brush the dough with melted butter. Then, place in the oven for about 20 minutes or until they begin to brown.
- Brush with butter again before serving.
