Chili Cheese Dog Empanadas
Ingredients:
- 12 Pillsbury Frozen Pie Dough Round (#1800)
- 4 cups warm Chili
- 2 cups Tillamook Shredded Cheddar Cheese (#1866)
- 2 2/3 cup sliced Hebrew’s National Hot Dogs (#2765)
- 1 large egg, whisked
- 1 tsp AP Chili Powder (#1014)
Instructions:
- First, thaw pie dough until flexible, covered, at room temp. 15-30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
- For the filling, mix together the chili, cheddar cheese, and sliced hot dogs.
- Then, scoop some of the mixture into the center of the dough. Repeat until all the crusts are used.
- With the beaten egg, brush the edges of the dough. Fold it in half, then press down the edges with a fork.
- Now, place it on a baking sheet (#4020) lined with parchment paper (#1153). Brush the top with more egg, and sprinkle chili powder on the top.
- Place in the oven at 400F for 17-19 minutes. Cool before serving.
