Simple Homemade Butter
Make great tasting butter at home with just one ingredient! Plus, with our Gossner Foods Shelf Stable Whipping Cream (#1696), you just have to grab a couple cartons from your pantry- no need to go to the store. Try different mix ins like salt, herbs, or fruit for customized butter.
Mix ins:
- Regal Fine Sea Salt (#1146)
- Kirkland Minced Garlic (#1289) + fresh rosemary and thyme, chopped

- AP Zesty Lemon Zest (#1433) + fresh chives, chopped

Simple Homemade Butter

Instructions:
- First, pour the two cartons of whipping cream into a bowl of a stand mixer.
- Start beating on a low speed, slowly increasing to high. Continue beating.
- After a few minutes, whipped cream will form- continue to beat. It will begin to turn yellow and separate, at this point cover the mixer with a towel. Continue to mix until the buttermilk separates from the butter fat.
- Now, strain the buttermilk into a mason jar to use later in recipes.
- Then, rinse the butter with ice cold water, replacing the water three time.
- If desired, add mix-ins.
- Form into a butter log, then wrap in parchment paper (#1153). Alternatively, store in a mason jar or another airtight container in the fridge.
