Start the School Year off Right!

Your kids will need a hearty breakfast to start the day before heading back to school. Why not fill their bellies with some delicious food!? Keep reading for a few of our go-to products for easy mornings.

Send the kids off strong by trying out this amazing waffle recipe topped with chopped strawberries, powdered sugar, or syrup. The nice thing about this mix is it can also be used for pancakes! If that’s something you’d prefer, check out this recipe for Blueberry Pancakes.

Strawberry Waffles

Yields 7 / 7-inch waffles

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. First, preheat Waffle Iron.
  2. Place water, eggs (and oil) in large mixing bowl. Blend well with whisk.
  3. Add mix. Blend well with whisk until dry mix is incorporated. (Lumpy batter is ok).
  4. Then, ladle 4.5 ounces of batter onto lightly oiled waffle iron.
  5. Cook for 3 minutes or until done.
  6. Top off with some diced strawberries or strawberry preserve and enjoy!

Cinnamon French Toast Sticks

Farm Rich Cinnamon Cinnamon Sprinkle French Toast Sticks (#1499) are easy to make and can be heated up in various ways!

Conventional Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Arrange French toast sticks in a single layer on a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) and place on the middle rack of the oven.
  3. Bake for 8-9 minutes (half box) or 10-11 minutes (full box).

Toaster Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Arrange French toast in a single layer on a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) and place on the middle rack of the oven.
  3. Bake 5 to 10 pieces for 12-13 minutes.

Microwave:

  1. Arrange Original French Toast Sticks in the center of a microwave-safe plate.
  2. Microwave on HIGH: 1 serving (5 pieces) for 1 minute 30 seconds.

Home Fryer:

  1. Preheat fryer oil to 350°F.
  2. Fry 1 serving (5 pieces) for 2 minutes 30 seconds.

After cooking, top it off with C & H Powdered Sugar (#1151), Log Cabin Original Syrup (#1590), caramel, or whatever your favorite topping is!
