Monte Cristo Sandwich
This Monte Cristo Sandwich is basically the baby of grilled cheese and french toast. It is stuffed with cheese, ham, and turkey then dipped in jam. It is a popular food to find at Disneyland, but can easily be made at home as well.

Monte Cristo Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 4 slices Rocky Mountain White Bread (#1336)
- 4 Tbsp Avocado Oil Mayo (#1537)
- 2 tsp yellow mustard, optional
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 4 slices each of Hormel Sliced Cherrywood Smoked Ham (#1740) and Hormel Roasted Sliced Turkey (#1739)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 4 Tbsp Kirkland Butter (#1723)
- 2 Tbsp C & H Powdered Sugar (#1151), optional
Instructions:
- First, spread mayo on 2 slices of bread. Then, top one slice with cheese, 2 pieces of ham, mustard (if desired), 2 slices of turkey, and a slice of cheese. Gently press the sandwich, and if desired cut off the crusts. Repeat for the second sandwich.
- Next, combine the milk, eggs, salt, and pepper and dip each sandwich into the mixture.
- Meanwhile, preheat a skillet over low heat and add the butter. Place each sandwich into the pan and cook for 4-6 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- If desired, dust with powdered sugar. Serve as is or with strawberry jam.
