Air Fried Swedish Meatballs
One of the best parts about going to Ikea is smelling the delicious food court after walking through the store. We know not all of our customers are close to a store, and to be honest, we prefer this homemade version of Swedish Meatballs anyway! Enjoy juicy air-fried Swedish Meatballs flavored with allspice and nutmeg, swimming in a creamy sauce. We like to serve them over a bed of Lamb Weston Roasted Garlic Potatoes (#7944), but it’s also great paired with rice or Dakota Growers Extra Wide Egg Noodles (#2479). And, don’t forget the berry sauce! You can make this recipe with lingonberries or cranberries.
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 cup C & H Granulated Sugar (#1632)
- 1 cup water
- 4 cups Wyman’s Fresh Frozen Cranberries (#1220)
Instructions:
- First, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil to dissolve the sugar.
- Then, add the cranberries. Bring back to a boil, then turn down to a simmer for 10 minutes or until the cranberries begin to burst.
- Allow to cool completely, then move to the fridge to cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
Can these be cooked a different way?
Absolutely! If you don’t have an air fryer or prefer a different cooking method, give these a try:
- Add 1 Tbsp Redstone Garlic Infused Olive Oil (#2437) to a pan over medium heat. Brown the meatballs, then add to the gravy to finish cooking.
- Line a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) with a Crestware Silicone Mat (#8436). Add the meatballs, making sure they aren’t touching. Bake at 400F for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through. Toss in the gravy and serve.
And, if you’re not feeling homemade meatballs, Rosina Homestyle Meatballs (#8963) work great in a pinch!
