Chicken Chili Verde Empanadas

Chicken Chili Verde Empanadas
Ingredients:
- 12 Pillsbury Frozen Pie Dough Rounds (#1800)
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp water
*Filling:
- 3 cups Seasoned Diced Chicken (#7787)
- 1 cup green chilies, diced
- 1 cup salsa verde
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
Instructions:
- Thaw the pie dough until flexible, uncovered, at room temperature or refrigerate overnight.
- Next, whisk together the egg and water in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Then, mix together the chicken, chilies, salsa, and cheese in a bowl.
- Scoop about 3 oz. of the mixture onto the middle of each dough round.
- Now, brush the edges of the dough with the egg mixture and fold the dough in half over the filling. Use a fork to crimp the edges and seal.
- Place on a parchment (#1153) lined cookie sheet (#4020) and bake at 400F for 17-19 minutes, or until flaky. Serve warm.
