When we saw this idea for S’mores Sweet Potato Skillet, we instantly knew it would be fantastic paired with our customer-favorite Chef Shamy Cinnamon Brown Sugar Honey Butter (#8129). This skillet is flavored with flame-roasted maple sweet potatoes with a touch of cocoa, topped with a crunchy layer of cinnamon graham crackers, toasted allows, and pecan pieces. Let us know how you like it! To make this dish gluten free, simply use your favorite option for graham crackers, or just remove it entirely- it isn’t needed!

Simplot Flame-Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Maple Seasoning (#2282) are simply roasted sweet potatoes seasoned with olive oil, maple, and brown sugar. Our customers love that they require no washing, peeling or cutting – simply heat and serve. They are consistent in quality, roasting, and seasoning every time, and have quickly become a freezer staple for our homes.

S’mores Sweet Potato Skillet

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. First, preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Then, place the sweet potatoes in a single layer on a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) lined with a Crestware Silicone Baking Mat (#8436). Bake for 15-20 minutes or until fork tender, stirring halfway.
  3. Meanwhile, combine the graham crackers and half of the remaining butter. Set aside.
  4. Now, carefully transfer into a mixing bowl. Use a Zyliss Stainless Steel Potato Masher (#1795) to mash the potatoes to your liking, then mix the remaining melted butter, cocoa, and half and half.
  5. Transfer the sweet pototo mixture to a cast iron skillet, then spread the graham cracker mixture follwed by a layer of cinnamon sugar.
  6. Next, place back in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the graham cracker mixture is golden.
  7. Remove from oven, and sprinkle the marshamallows and pecan pieces. Bake again for 10-15 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden and pecans are lightly toasted.
  8. Let cool before serving.
