English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich

All Recipes, Breakfast | September 9, 2021 | By

English Muffin Breakfast Sandwiches are a family favorite. These sandwiches are stacked with egg, cheese, and Canadian bacon on a toasted English muffin. They’re great for a quick breakfast, or stocking up the freezer for busy school mornings.

Turn it into a freezer meal!

Once you have your English Muffin Breakfast Sandwiches assembled, wrap each sandwich in AP Parchment Paper (#1153) or Medallion Interfolded Foil Sheets (#2351) and place in a freezer safe container or a Ziploc Gallon Freezer Bag (#1979). They can be frozen for about a month. To reheat, simply microwave for 1 minute, flip, and microwave for 30 seconds or until heated through.

*If you plan on freezing, we recommend cooking the eggs for less time than you would if eating right away. Otherwise, when they’re heated up, the egg will be overcooked.

Change up the fillings!

The easiest way to change this recipe is by changing the protein. Try stacking these in addition to what’s in the recipe, or swap toppings out.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. First, preheat oven to 350F. Then, butter the inside of the english muffins. Place on a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) lined with a Crestware Silicone Baking Mat (#8436) and bake until golden brown. Flip, and cook a few more minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter, then crack an egg into an egg ring (a silicone cookie cutter, mason jar lid, etc. will also work). Season with salt and pepper, pour a bit of water around the egg, and cover with a lid. Allow to steam cook for about three minutes or until it is cooked to your liking. Carefully remove the egg and place onto prepared english muffin, and repeat.
  3. Now, cook the canadian bacon for a minute on each side, until lightly browned, and place on top of the egg. Then, top with a slide of cheese and the top half of the english muffin, and dig in!

Easy Camping Breakfast Ideas

The best thing about waking up in a cozy sleeping bag in the cool mountain air is knowing a hearty breakfast is next on the agenda. While enjoying nature’s beauty, a camping trip offers a chance to slow down and smell the bacon with a meal that’s much more indulgent than a protein shake on the go. We look forward to our camp menus almost as much as the change of scenery and schedule. In this post, we’re sharing some of our favorite campout recipes and products that make it easy to cook away from your kitchen.

AP Products to make Camping Easy:

Enjoy a Classic American Breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage cooked over a campfire.

Classic American Breakfast

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. To prepare the pancakes, add the mix to water, blending with a wire whisk. For light, fluffy pancakes, avoid over-mixing. For thinner pancakes, add more water. Pour batter onto lightly greased, preheated (365°-375°F) griddle. Cook pancakes 1-1¼ minutes per side. Turn only once.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the sausages by placing the thawed links on a greased flat top grill. Grill, uncovered, for 12-16 minutes or until internal link temperature reaches 160°F and sausage is browned, turning links often.
  3. For the bacon, grill over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side. You’ll love the smoky flavor that grilling brings to bacon!
  4. Now, melt butter in a dutch oven pan. Add the whisked eggs, and gently stir until they are almost set. If desired, add Tillamook Medium Cheddar Shredded Cheese (#1866).
  5. Then, divide the bacon, sausage, pancakes, and eggs between a few plates and enjoy.

Steak & Egg Breakfast

Enjoy a classic Steak & Egg breakfast with steak grilled to perfection, a fried egg, and crispy hashbrowns. Serve with a side of fresh fruit and juice to start your day off right.

Our #1 tip for cooking steak:

There’s just something about a good, juicy steak that really hits the spot. But, if you aren’t careful- you’ll end up with a dried out steak. Our biggest tip when cooking steak is to let it rest about 5 minutes before cutting into it. This allows the juices to flow back into the meat.

BBQ Breakfast Sandwich on French Toast

We know, BBQ sauce on a breakfast sandwich sounds a little weird. But somehow, this combination of flavors just…works! Try this out to change up your breakfast menu!

Why do we love Jones Dairy products?

Other than the fact that their products are delicious, there are a few things that make Jones Dairy different. First, they never add binders, fillers and preservatives to their breakfast sausage patties to cut costs. Second, Jones thinks you deserve better, which is why their Certified Gluten-Free mild pork sausage patties are made with just five wholesome ingredients. The result is a great-tasting patty that you can feel great about eating.

What changes can I make to this recipe?

We don’t suggest changing too much of this recipe, but if you don’t like the idea of everything combined, simply try everything on its own! Prepare the sausage, french toast, and eggs and you will be left with a delicious 3-part breakfast.
