Backyard Carnival Bash

Where do I start?

Like most parties, food is an important part. Complete your party with Mini Corn Dogs (#1581), Caramel Apples (recipe below), and an easy DIY Popcorn Bar. Here are a few other show-stopping ideas:

1. Sno-cones are a simple idea, made easier with our seasonal Monin Syrups. You can choose from Blackberry (#1854), Raspberry (#5882), Peach (#5884), Coconut (#8602), Stone Fruit (#1636) or Cherry (#1637).

3. Would it be a carnival without Soft Pretzels (#1472)? Provide dipping sauces of cheese, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

5. One of our favorite carnival foods is a fresh churro, but these Churro Cream Puffs paired with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces are a new and creative way to mix cream puffs and churros into one glorious dessert.

These deliciously easy Caramel Apple Slices are the perfect addition to your Backyard Carnival Bash. Plus, you don’t have to worry about figuring out how to cut a whole Caramel Apple for the kids to eat.

Caramel Apple Slices

Ingredients:

• Apples
• Lollipop sticks
• Melting Chocolate
• Uncle Denny’s Caramel Topping (#7894)
• Toppings, optional- mini chocolate chips (#7121), chopped walnuts (#1293), sprinkles, m&m’s, etc.

Instructions:

1. Before you begin, wash your apples. Then, slice, remove the seeds and insert the stick from the bottom. Pat your apple slices dry.
2. Dip your prepared apple slices into the melting chocolate or caramel. You can dip all the way to the stick, or just halfway.
3. Place dipped apple slices on a piece of wax paper (#1153) to harden. Repeat until all your apples are dipped and hardened.
4. If you want to add toppings, do this before step 3. Simply drizzle the toppings over, then let the base harden.
