Buffalo Tofu Tenders
Crispy buffalo tofu “tenders” dipped in a panko mixture and an easy homemade buffalo sauce for a mouthwatering vegetarian dish. This recipe is a great addition to any game day spread. To make this recipe vegan, simply use your favorite vegan substitute for butter.

Buffalo Tofu Tenders
Ingredients:
- 1 pound extra firm tofu
- 4 Tbsp Kirkland Butter (#1723), melted
- 1/3 cup hot sauce
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/8 tsp AP Garlic Powder (#1021)
- 2/3 cup Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs (#1193)
- 2 Tbsp Turkey Brand Flour (#2285)
- 1 tsp AP Mild Paprika (#1697)
- 1/2 tsp granulated onion
- 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
Instructions:
- To begin, preheat your oven to 425F. Then, line a cookie sheet (#4020) with parchment paper (#1153).
- Slice the tofu into 6 rectangles, then cut each slice in half to create 12 tofu tenders. Draw out the excess moisture with the desired method.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, hot sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic powder. Divide the mixture in half.
- Then, in a separate bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, flour, paprika, and granulated onion.
- Next, dunk each tofu tender in the sauce until all the way coated. Shake off the extra sauce and dip into the panko mixture. Place on the baking sheet, then repeat with the remaining tofu.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then flip and bake an additional 10 minutes
- Remove from the oven and toss the tofu in the remaining sauce. Garnish with green onion, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
