Chicken & Dumpling Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup Marzetti Southern Style Dumplings (#2280)
- 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup Flav-R-Pac Chopped Onion (#5772)
- 3 cups alfredo sauce
- 1 cup Flav-R-Pac Petite Green Peas (#6208), thawed
- 1 cup swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
- 1 Tbsp BBF Avocado Oil (#3516)
- 1 cup Mushrooms, can sub with Phillips Diced Tru-Roast Mushrooms (#2222)
- 3 cups Main St. Meats Chicken Breast Strips (#2609), cooked
- 1 cup Daily’s Precooked Bacon (#4835), crumbled
Instructions:
- First, preheat oven to 350F. Then, spray a baking dish with Vegalene Buttery Delite (#1576).
- Next, bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the dumplings and cook until heated through, approx. 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet and saute the onions until tender. Add the mushroom and cook until golden. Set aside.
- Now, in a bowl, stir together all the ingredients, making sure to coat everything evenly in the alfredo sauce.
- Then, pour into prepared baking dish, topping with more cheese if desired, and place in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is heated through. Serve warm with a side of New York Bakery Garlic Toast (#2049).
