Puff Pastry Christmas Trees
Ingredients:
- 2-3 Henry & Henry Puff Pastry Squares (#2443), thawed but still cold
- cream cheese, softened
- 12 Margherita Hard Salami Slices (#1688)
- 10 green olives
Instructions:
- First, spread cream cheese on the puff pastry squares. Then, top with the salami slices.
- Next, cut the puff pastry into strips- you will need 10. Fold the pastry, accordion-style, with smaller folds as you get to the top to resemble the shape of a Christmas tree.
- Now, carefully stick a skewer through the center of the tree, with a little bit coming out of the top. Place on a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) lined with parchment paper (#1153), and then refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350F.
- Bake the trees for 15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is a nice golden brown. If desired, add an egg wash before placing in the oven.
- Allow to cool slightly, then add a green olive to the top of each tree. Enjoy!
