Mashed Potato Topped Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Idahoan Rustic Homestyle Mashed Potatoes (#1391)
- 2 cups water
- 10 ¾ oz. can cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- â…› tsp AP Table Grind Black Pepper (#1029)
- 2 cups Flav-R-Pac Whole Green Beans (#3781), thawed
- 1 â…“ French’s French Fried Onions, divided
Instructions:
- First, preheat oven to 350F.
- Then, prepare the mashed potatoes by bringing the water to a boil. Remove from heat and immediately stir in potatoes until thoroughly combined. Let stand for 1 minute, then set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk using a Zyliss Mini Whisk (#1796). Stir in 2/3 cup of the French fried onions, then pour into a casserole dish.
- Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until heated through.
- Now, remove the casserole from the oven and mix. Gently top with the mashed potatoes.
- Switch the oven to broil, then place the casserole back in the oven for 2 minutes or until the potatoes are lightly browned.
- Before serving, top with the remaining French fried onions.
