Grilled Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops

Serve grilled bone-in pork chops with a simple rub + sweet and savory apple cider glaze for Father’s Day this year. Finish the meal off with easy sides that require hardly any work: grilled Birds Eye Extra Sweet Mini Corn on the Cob (#4655), Stone Ground Tuscan Mini Dinner Rolls (#8196), Lamb Weston Roasted Garlic Potatoes (#7944), and a nice salad. And don’t forget the drinks, serve dad a refreshing Strawberry Lemonade Slush or Monin Coconut Limade.

Get the most out of your rub!

To really get the most out of your rub, first pat the thawed pork chops down with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Pantry tip- store the extra rub in our spice jars. This can even double as an unintentional Father’s Day gift. Everyone wins!

Grilled Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients:

Rub:

Apple Cider Glaze:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
  2. In a small saucepan, prepare glaze by combining apple cider, syrup, Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes and salt. Bring to a simmer.
  3. While the cider comes to a simmer, prepare the pork rub. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Add the oil to the spice mixture. It will be the consistency of a crumbly paste.
  4. Wash and pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then rub chops on all side with the spice rub, coating them evenly.
  5. Put the pork chops on the heated grill and thoroughly brush with the cider glaze. Grill for about 6 min. Flip the chops and thoroughly brush with glaze again. Grill for 2 more minutes, flip and brush again. Repeat this process until the chops cook for 10-12 minutes total and reach an internal temp of 145F.
