Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and gooey Double Chocolate Chip Cookies is the ultimate cookie recipe loaded with cocoa and chocolate chips for our fellow Chocolate Lovers! And, we have a trick up our sleeves… Chilling the dough before baking it helps the cookies keep a good shape and not melt. Yum!

Try this!

A simple hack for Double Chocolate Chip Cookies is to simply make up a batch of your favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, adding 1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder. Viola!

Another hack we love is to bake half of the cookie dough but freeze the other half. Simply scoop onto a piece of Parchment Paper (#1153) and set in the freezer until frozen, then transfer to a Ziploc Gallon Freezer Bag (#1979). Grab a cookie dough ball out of the bag to snack on, OR bake a few cookies as desired.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. First, cream the grated butter with the sugars until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Next, stir in the cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Then, slowly mix in the flour, scraping down the sides. Add the chocolate chips.
  2. Now, line a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020) with a Crestware Silicone Baking Mat (#8436). Use a Crestware Cookie Scoop (#3838) and place the dough balls 2 inches part on the cookie sheet. Chill for 1-2 hours. This helps the cookies not melt when baking.
  3. Then, bake for 11-15 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden brown. Continue until all the dough is used. Enjoy!
