Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers

Jalapeno Poppers are one of the easiest, most popular party apps. All you need to do is make the cream cheese mixture, fill the peppers, and wrap with bacon.

Can these be made vegetarian?

Absolutely! Simply remove the bacon and they are good to go. In addition, these can be made dairy free by using a dairy free cream cheese and dairy free pepper jack cheese.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! Simply prepare the filling ahead of time and store in the fridge until you’re ready to use. You can also half the jalapenos and take out the seeds beforehand. We recommend stopping there as far as prep goes, since they are best fresh from the oven.

Instructions:

  1. First, preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, Pepper Jack, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Halve jalapeños lengthwise, then use a spoon to remove seeds and veins. Feel free to rinse after you cut them to remove any remaining seeds (if you do rinse, pat the peppers dry with a paper towel). Fill with cheese mixture and wrap each with a halved slice of bacon.
  3. Then, place on a baking sheet and bake until bacon is crispy and peppers are tender, about 25 minutes.
