Instructions:

  1. First, preheat oven to 350F and grease a Crestware Cookie Sheet (#4020).
  2. Next, add the water, butter, and cocoa to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Then, in another bowl, combine the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Stir the two mixtures together.
  4. Once the cocoa mixture begins to boil, remove it from the heat and add to the other mixture, mixing until there are no lumps.
  5. Then, pour the batter into the cookie sheet and spread evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, start on the frosting by adding the milk, cocoa, and butter to a saucepan and bringing it to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar until there are no lumps.
  7. Pour icing over the hot cake and spread evenly. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
