Chili Lime Steak Tacos – tender sliced sirloin marinated and seasoned to perfection, then served on crispy corn tortillas and topped as desired. Serve with your favorite Mexican-inspired sides.
How long can you marinate steak?
It really depends on the recipe! For this dish, 30 minutes is plenty, but you can marinate the steak for 2-4 hours for more flavor. Just be careful with marinading with lime juice, as it can “cook” the meat the longer it sits.

Chili Lime Steak Tacos
Ingredients:
- 1 case Main St. Meats Thin Sliced Sirloin (#1758), thawed
- Juice of 2 limes
- 3/4 tsp AP Ground Cumin (#1442)
- 1/4 tsp AP Coarse Black Pepper (#1028)
- 2 tsp Baja Chili Lime Seasoning (#7664)
- 1/2 tsp AP Paprika (#1697)
- 1/2 tsp AP Garlic Powder (#1021)
- 2 tsp Kirkland Minced Garlic (#1289)
- 8 corn tortillas
- Toppings: Simplot Avocado Dices (#1645), sour cream, red onion, Guacamole (#9247), salsa, lime wedges- to juice, cheese, cilantro
Instructions:
- First, marinate the steak in the fresh lime juice at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Then, heat a skillet on medium-high heat with some oil (#3516).
- Combine all the spices in a bowl, then rub the mixture on all sides of the steak after it marinates.
- Next, place the steak in the warmed pan and grill all sides until the internal temperature is at least 130-135F. Then, let is rest while you prepare the corn tortillas according to the directions.
- Now, add the steak to the tortillas and top with desired toppings before serving.
