Can these be frozen?

Yes! Just allow them to cool completely after frying, then store in a Ziploc Freezer Bag (#1979) or another container for up to 2 months. Just heat in the oven at 350F for 10-18 minutes, or until heated through.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. First, heat the oil in a saucepan.
  2. Next, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Then, whisk in the egg and almond milk.
  3. Now, pat the franks dry with a paper towel. Cut then in half to make 12 pieces, then insert the skewer.
  4. Then, dip the franks into the batter, and carefully place them into the oil and fry for about 5 minutes, or until browned.
  5. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate, and serve with ketchup.
