Slow-Cooker Double Chocolate Cake

Warm, gooey chocolate cake with bits of melted chocolate in every bite! Serve with a scoop of Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream. This is a great dessert for the summer months because you won’t have to turn your oven on. It would be great for Mother’s Day, too, if your mom or is a chocolate lover.

Try these fun variations:

  1. Add chopped candy bars instead of the chopped chocolate. Try mini peanut butter cups, snickers, heath bars, or your favorite candy bar.
  2. Swirl in a can of cherry pie filling for a Black Forest cake.
  3. For a fun Summer twist, add mini marshmallows, crushed graham crackers and Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips (#7121).
  4. Use sweetened condensed milk instead of sour cream, and mix in Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips (#7121) and toffee bits. Once the cake is done, poke holes and pour Uncle Denny’s Caramel Topping (#7894) on top, along with more toffee bits. Refrigerate before serving.
