Garlic Butter Beef Chili

Easy Corn Bread
For our Krusteaz Cornbread, simply place 1 1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp water in mixer bowl; add 4 cups mix. Using a paddle, mix on low speed 1 minute. Scrape bowl and paddle, then change to medium speed and mix for 1 minute. Scale batter into greased 9×13 pan, then bake at 400° F for 18-20 minutes.

Garlic Butter Beef Chili
Ingredients:
- 4 Tbsp Chef Shamy Garlic Butter with Parmesan & Basil (#8124)
- 2 cups Flav-R-Pac Chopped Onion (#5772)
- 1-2 jalapeño peppers, finely chopped (with seeds)
- 2 lbs Childer’s Ground Chuck (#2549)
- 2 Tbsp AP Ground Cumin (#1442)
- 1 ½ Tbsp AP Mild Chili Powder (#1014)
- 2 tsp AP Mild Paprika (#1697)
- 1 tsp Regal Fine Sea Salt (#1146)
- ½ tsp cayenne (optional)
- 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 cups water + 1/2 Tbsp Custom Culinary Beef Base (#1039)
- 14 oz can kidney beans, drained
- 14 oz can black beans, drained
- Toppings: Sour Cream & Tillamook Medium Cheddar Shredded Cheese (#1866)
Instructions:
- Melt Garlic Butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and jalapenos, and saute 3-5 minutes, until soft. Add the ground beef to the pot. Cook until browned, breaking up big chunks with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in the cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper (if desired).
- Mix in crushed tomatoes, with juices, tomato sauce, beef broth and drained beans.
- Stir everything together and simmer 60 minutes.
- Serve with sour cream, cheese, cilantro, and cornbread.
