Classic BLT Sandwich
Our deliciously easy Classic BLT Sandwich is lightly toasted with mayo, then layered with crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes.
Spice things up!
We loooove a good Classic BLT Sandwich, especially on a busy night, but we have found a few other delicious ways to enjoy this sandwich combo.
- Chicken BLT. Add a prepared Grilled Chicken Breast Strips (#9210), a prepared Chicken Breast Patty (#6221), or a prepared Chicken Fritter (#6219) to make it a more filling meal.
- BLT Wraps. Using the same ingredients, just swap out the bread for a tortilla. First, spread mayo (or Chipotle Ranch #2589) on the tortilla then layer with bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes. Fold bottom and sides of tortilla over the filling and it roll up.
- BLT Grilled Cheese. Simply swap the lettuce with a slice of cheese (#1859) and assemble as described below. Then, heat in a warmed skillet until both sides of sandwich are golden brown.
- Change up the mayo with these three options- Roasted Garlic- add 1 tsp of our Minor’s Garlic Concentrate (#1491) to your mayo; Sriracha Mayo- add 1 tsp Sriracha Chili Sauce to your mayo; Paprika Mayo- add 1/8 tsp paprika (#1697) and 1/8 tsp lime juice to your mayo.

Classic BLT Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 8 slices white (#1336) or wheat (#1345) bread
- 1 lb. Precooked Bacon (#4835) or Applewood Smoked Bacon (#8464)
- 3 large heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- Salt (#1146), to taste
- 1/3 cup Avocado Oil Mayo (#1537)
- 8 pieces of butterhead lettuce
Instructions:
- To begin, cook the bacon by placing separated slices in a cold frying pan. Warm slowly over low heat. Turn often to brown evenly to desired crispness. Drain on paper towel.
- Next, sprinkle the sliced tomatoes with salt and set on a paper towel to drain excess liquid.
- Spread a thin layer of mayo on each slice, then place in a warmed skillet until golden brown. Remove to a plate, browned side down.
- Once the bacon is drained, assemble the sandwiches. Add another thin layer of mayo, tomatoes, bacon, and lettuce (layer with each again for a more filling sandwich) then top with the second piece of bread. Slice the sandwich in half and enjoy!
