Crock Pot Lasagna

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound Main St Meats Ground Beef (#2622)
  • 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage (could also use ground beef)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (#)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (#)
  • 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce1 cup water (divided)
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 9-12 lasagna noodles (uncooked)

Instructions:

  1. First, spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray (#), or line with PanSaver liner (#).
  2. Then, brown the hamburger and sausage in a pan over medium heat. Drain the grease, then cook the onions and Italian Seasoning until the onions are soft. Stir in 1/2 cup water, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. While that simmers, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1/2 the mozzarella, parmesan, and egg.
  4. Next, pour about 1 cup of the sauce into the bottom of your crockpot. Then, top with 3 noodles-you may need to break some corners to fit properly. Be sure to use uncooked noodles! Next, spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture, and repeat with the layers until all the ingredients are used up.
  5. Now, pour 1/2 cup water around the sides. Then, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
  6. Cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the noodles are tender.
