Slow cookers have been all the rage the past few years. How easy is it to throw some ingredients in a pot and forget about it? When the succulent aroma wafts through your house and brings you back to the kitchen to eat your masterpiece, you can’t help but love the slow cooker. Until now. Slow cookers take hours. Sometimes you even have to let it sit overnight! Our lives are busy with family, community, and work obligations which are why people have started raving about the Instant Pot multi-use cooker because like its name, it’s instant!  Heard of it? You might want to throw out all your old appliances when you get this easy, electric, all-in-one pot. Meet the Instant Pot

Instant Pot is so much more than a single, slow-cooker because it does the job of eight. While it does slow cook, it also acts as an electric pressure cooker, rice cooker, warming pot, and steamer. It makes yogurt, and even a serves as a sauté/browning pan! Pretty crazy, to think one appliance can do all of that! Is it hard to use?

You might think you’ll need to hire a team of NASA scientists to help you figure out how to make it work. But once you read through that instruction manual and just start using it, you’ll be surprised how quickly you fall in love with it! Instant Pot is commonly used as an electric pressure cooker and/or slow cooker. However, if you just need to warm or reheat your potatoes, forget about turning on the oven! Have you ever made your own yogurt? Applesauce? Now you can! The Instant Pot may make you question how you ever cooked without it. Picture when it’s time to start dinner. You need to whip something up quick, and all you’ve got is some rice and veggies. Hawaiian Chicken Instant Pot Recipe 

Hawaiian Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups Pineapple Juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Water or Chicken Broth

Cook on high-pressure cook ten minutes. Release pressure. Remove lid and change setting to saute. Remove 1/4 cup cooking liquid from pot and stir in two tablespoons cornstarch. Pour mixture back into the pot and cook a few minutes until sauce slightly thickens. Serve over a bed of white rice.     Thank you so much for sharing my Instant Pot pork tenderloin recipe. Your post is spot on. The IP is intimidating at first but quickly becomes your most loved kitchen appliance.
