Our Best Panini Recipes

Paninis are so good there’s a National Food Holiday to celebrate them! We aren’t complaining. These crispy, grilled sandwiches can be filled in so many ways, but we have a few favorites. Keep reading for some killer panini recipes!

Panini Essentials

There are so many ways to assemble a panini, but there are a few ingredients you’ll always need to build a perfect sandwich: meat, cheese, veggies, pesto, butter/oil, and two slices of delicious bread. Our mouths are watering! Here are a few of our favorite combinations:

  1. Ham + Asiago Cheese + Caramelized Onions
  2. Garden Tomatoes + Basil + Mozzarella + Balsamic Vinegar- see below!
  3. Ranch Tuna + Cheddar Cheese + Spinach
  4. Grilled Chicken + Pesto + Parmesan + Pine Nuts + Arugula
  5. Salami + Ham + Provolone Cheese + Goat Cheese + Olive Tapenade

Caprese Panini

Crispy sourdough enveloping gooey mozzarella cheese and garden-fresh tomatoes and basil.

Caprese Panini

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. First, brush one side of each slice of bread with butter.
  2. Then, place each slice, buttered side down, on a Crestware Flexible Cutting Mat (#3840).
  3. Now, place the cheese on one slice, followed by the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Add the basil, topped by the other slice of bread.
  4. Set into panini press and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until bread is golden bread. Transfer back to cutting mat and cut the sandwich in half. Repeat with the other slices of bread and remaining ingredients.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Turkey Bacon Panini

Treat yourself to a Turkey Club- panini style! Buttered sourdough bread, tomatoes, bacon, swiss cheese, sliced turkey, and arugula.

Instructions:

  1. First, cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Once done, set onto a paper-towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  2. Next, butter one side of each slice of bread. Then, place each slice, buttered side down, on a Crestware Flexible Cutting Mat (#3840).
  3. Then, spread the opposite side of each slice of bread with mayo. Top each slice with cheese, turkey, bacon, arugula followed by the remaining cheese.
  4. Set into panini press and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until bread is golden bread. Transfer back to cutting mat and cut the sandwich in half. Repeat with the other slices of bread and remaining ingredients.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
