What is True Lemon?

True Lemon is a great addition to Keto or Low Carb diets who need some sweetness in their life! Each packet is the equivalent of one lemon wedge. It adds natural flavor with zero calories or sugar, with real flavor from real fruit; just crystallized lemon. True Lemon contains no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors. Plus, it is completely allergen-free.

Can I add to this recipe?

Absolutely! As it stands, this recipe is vegetarian and gluten-free, so just be aware that any changes may affect that. We like to add a variety of veggies- fresh from our gardens or from our frozen vegetable selection (you can find that here). In addition, try adding a form of meat, or a meat substitute, for even more protein. We enjoy adding our Pierce’s Seasoned Diced Chicken Breast (#7787). Since it is a fully cooked item, it can be thrown into the salad cold, or heated up. Perfect for a quick meal!

True Lemon Basil Quinoa Salad

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. To begin, make the basil dressing. Add the basil to a food processor along with parmesan, True Lemon, avocado oil, garlic, dash of salt (#1146) and pepper (#1028). Process until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In medium bowl, stir cooked quinoa, olives, cucumber, tomato, and green onion. Mix in additional vegetables, if desired.
  3. Add basil dressing, and stir to coat.
  4. Mix in lettuce, and serve!
