Bring Some Sizzle to Your Thanksgiving Recipes!

  1. Stir bacon into your Thanksgiving Stuffing, and green bean or corn casseroles.
  2. Wrap asparagus spears or green beans with bacon. Our Puff Pastry Wrapped Asparagus is a Holiday Meal great addition, too.
  3. Stuff your sweet potatoes with apples and bacon! For the filling, cook 3 slices Daily’s Honey Cured Bacon (#8463) in a skillet until crispy. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and place on a plate with a paper towel. Add 2 diced honey crisp apples to the bacon greased pan with 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 3 Tbsp fresh sage. Cook until it begins to carmelize, then add the bacon back in. For the full recipe from How Sweet Eats, click here.
  4. Add some sizzling bacon to your Dirty Mashed Potatoes. Bacon can replace the mushrooms, or be added along with them.
  5. Roast Turkey With Bacon. You will need 1 Norbest Sweetheart Boneless Turkey Breast (#4054), 1/2 lb. Daily’s Applewood Smoked Bacon (#8464), 3 celery stalks, 1/2-3/4 cup softened Kirkland Butter (#1723), 1 1/2 cup broth. Find the easy recipe from The Spruce Eats here.
  6. Crumble bacon on top of sweet potato dishes, and even apple pie!
  7. Adapt our Maple Bacon Cupcakes to delicious Apple Cinnamon Cupcakes by making a simple Apple Butter. Once the cupcakes have cooled, cut a small well into the top of each cupcake and fill with 1 tsp of apple butter. Top with the maple frosting and garnish with crumbles Precooked Bacon (#4835).
